DROWNINGS.

Nelson, Nov. 20,

Edward Burton, 13 years of age, son .of Mr Algernon Burton, was drowned at Tahuna on Saturday afternoon, while bathing with companions. The body has not yet been recovered. e , Auckland, Nov. 20.

While fishing at Piha, a man named John Archer, aged 35 years of age, a labourer, was washed from the rocks and drowned. Three others were with him, but Archer disappeared immediat cly. Hastings, Yesterday.

The body of a man named William John Harper, aged 03, who had been missing from home since 12th October, was found in a deep drain on the outskirts of the borough. The Coroner found that the probablecause of death was drowning. There was no evidence to show how the body got in the drain.
