WEDDING.
REID—ANDERSON
A wedding of local interest was celebrated in the Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. to-day, by the Rev. .Thomas Ualliday, when Mr Horace Reid, son of Mr and Mrs J. ri. Reid, was united to Miss Ira Anderson, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Chns. Anderson, of Fox ton. The bride, who was given away bv her father, was attired in a navy tailored costume and picture hat, and was attended by her sister, Miss Vera Anderson, as bridesmaid. Mr Maurice Robijnson officiated as best inan. f After the ceremony, the guests were entertained at. breakfast in the Town Hall supper-room. The toast of the. “Bride and Bridegroom’’ was proposed Ivy the Rev. Mr Hnllidav, and the “Bridesmaid” hy the best man. The toast of the bridegroom's grandmother (Mrs Robinson), who was present, was proposed in a neat speech hy the Rev. Mr Ualliday. The wedding presents were numerous, and included cheques (one from the local Football Club) and a three-tier wedding cake, the gift of Mr and Mrs J. Walls. The bridal bouquets and table decorations were the work of Mrs Procter, and a handsome (loral hell hy Mrs Wrighl. The happy couple left this afternoon tor the South Island, where the honeymoon will lie spent. Both bride and bridegroom are well-known and highly esteemed locally, and “The Herald ’ joints with their many friends in wishing them health and prosperity.
