HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 19th inst., reads: —
Hemp consumers’ interest in all classes at present practically negligible. Manila market continues dull. Value J grade, August-December' shipments, about £3B. New Zealand market inactive, shippers not disposed to accept lower prices. There are second-hand sellers. Spot high points £4O, November-January shipment £36 10s, fair £37, £34 10s respectively. No transactions reported.
