In his speech on the Budget in the House yesterday, the Premier said Ihe taxation per head in New Zealand was 8s 9d, while in Australia the Federal tax was 8s Gd, and to this had to be added the State taxes, varying from 7d in Victoria to 3s Gd in Queensland.
