POVERTY BAY TRAGEDY.
TWO NATIVES ARRESTED. Gisborne, Last Night. The two natives arrested in connection with the murder of Paul Zambukka at Motu River are brothers, Rutene Topi and Reeti Topi, the former being single, aged 30 years, and a returned soldier, and the latter about 25, and married. Both have been employed for some years on Saxeby Bros.’ station, and were arrested whilst at work shearing this morning. Both assisted in the search for the body of Zambukka. Shotguns, ammunition and clothiiffc were removed from their whare, and arc being taken lo Auckland by Detective O’Brien'for examination. Inspector Hutton" says all the evidence at the scene, excepting blood stains, was obliterated when the police arrived.
