TOWN HALL PICTURES.
To-night. —Universal Films have been in New Zealand one year, and are now issuing special anniversary programmes to be screeed at usual prices. To-night will see the presentation of the anniversary programme at the Town Hall. “The Girl in the Rain” is the leading feature, a story of an adventurous young lady with a liking for speeding in cars and motor boats. Most of the scenes are set in a thrilling atmosphere, and a strong vein of romance is always present. Ann Cornwall, new star, takes the leading role. No. 2 feature is “When the Devil Laughed,” a fast action story of the North West Mounted Police. Also “In the Sweet Dry and Dry,” Century comedy. Usual Prices, fid, Is /d, children 3d. To-morrow night, at usual prices, Gladys Walton in “All Dolled Up,” supported by “The Diamond Queen,” etc.
