MANAWATU ELECTORATE.

ALTERATION OF. BOUNDARIES

I LEVIN TO BE INCLUDED IN ELECTORATE.

We received word from Wellington this morning, from a well-in-formed source, that the Electoral Boundaries Commission had decided to alter the Manawatu electoral boundary by extending the southern boundary to include Levin borough. Weraroa will still remain in the Otaki electorate. A portion of the northern boundary of Manawatu, excluding Bulls, will be merged into the Rangitikei electorate. The Otaki electorate will move south to include Johnsonville. Otaki will again become the electoral headquarters for Otaki, instead of Levin, and Foxton for Manawatu.
