FOXTON SHIPPING.

The, president of the Palmerston Chamber of Commerce, in the course of his annual report, says: —“The matter of regular shipping dales to Foxton had been keenly dismissed, and it was felt by the members of the council that although they themselves could not as a Chamber of Commerce invest money in shipping, it would be a good thing for Palmerston North and Foxton if members of the Chamber could be induced to assist in floating a company for the purpose of having regular freights to and from Foxton. This company was now under way, and by the next annual meeting a regular service should be established which would considerably benefit Palmerstoji North.”
