CONFIRALVTION SERVICE.

On Friday last the Bishop of Wellington held a Confirmation Service in All Saints’ Church. There was a large congregation, including visitors from Oroun Downs and Aloutoa. Thirty candidates came forward for the laying on of hands. The Bishop based his remarks upon the 63rd Psalm: “Early will I seek Thee,” pointing out the value of seeking God in our youth. Hie Psalmist in his experience had proved the necessity of waiting upon God. At our Confirmation we have the promise of God of the gift of the Holy Spirit if we will only wait upon Him. The following is a list of the candidates presented:—' Foxton—Hilda Amy Harris, A r era Emily Anderson, Doris Edith Anderson, Kathleen Florence Green, Lorna, Florence Robinson, Violet Lee, Ivy Pearl Thompson, Dorothy Alyrtle Spiers, Rita Vale Robinson, Ruby Irene King, Wilfred Joseph Harris, Melville Seddon Francis, George Alexander Lockwood, Henry Francis Fuller, Thomas Steven Fuller, Ronald Guy Reader, Bernard Charles Crow, Vincent Burr, Darcy Ball.

Oroua Downs.—Ada Alargaret Nicholls, Marjory Bertha Burling, Gwendolyn Hall Webb, W inifred Elizabeth Smith, Lionel Arthur Burling, Arthur Alexander Webb, Darcy Hampton Funnell, .Joseph Thomas Funnell.
