Alice Joyce, supported by Robert Gordon in an all star cast in “Dollars and the Woman,” solves the cost of living problem to-day. She shows what a couple can do on a small income, and pave the way to a. brighter future. The feature is based on the story of Albert Fas on Terhune, and has one of the most timely themes in the world to-day. Can a married woman have female friends? Tin’s question has often been asked, and has found various answers. The three-cornered domestic situations, coupled with the present-day living conditions, have been the cause of much unhappiness. One solution of these problems is given in “Dollars and the Woman.” Alice Joyce has a role of unusual interest. As an extra: Episode 2 of “The Branded Four.” On Wednesday niglit the special production, “Robbery Under Arms,” will be screened. “Robbery Under Arms” has been adapted from the immortal story of Captain Starlight, the hero of the Australian bush lore. This picture has been faithfully portrayed in six powerful reels, teeming with adventure and excitement. It shows the turning point of two young boys’ lives, when they decide on the Loss of a coin which path they should take. It takes you right into the heart of the Australian bush, the wide Spaces, the sticking up of the gold escort, the riding of wild horses, the Turon gold rush, the duffing of 1000 head of cattle, the race for the Turon Gold Cup, which Starlight on his wonderful horse “Rainbow” wins. The betrayal of Starlight to the police by a jealous woman, the escape from gaol, the bailing up of Knightly’s station, and the wonderful ride of the plucky woman who dashes 100 miles to save her husband’s life, Starlight’s glorious last stand, where he paid to society the debt he owed.
