FOXTON SUB-BRANCII,
A Committee meeting of the above was held in the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon. There were present: Mrs Austin- . Johnston (in the cluiir), Mesdames F. Robinson, Pearson, Ilnllidny, Tong, Walton, Moorhouso, Chrysliill, W. Symons, McMurray (lion, secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Maudl and A. Ross. The following names were added to the committee: Mesdames S. Easton, Freeman, Bergin, and S. Austin. It was agrecd to ask Nurse Boslier to begin work here on Friday, November ,11th, and to endeavour to get the room furnished and in order by that date. The Committee decided to canvass the town, each house to he asked to contribute Is, the money so collected to he used for furnishing and general purposes. Each member of the Committee undertook to do certain streets, the canvass to he completed by Monday, 31st inst. Donations of chairs, cushions, couch, etc. (not. necessarily new), will De appreciated. A vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Pearson for the free use of a room for the nurse for six months, the same to lie recorded on the minutes. A vote of thanks for the use of the church for the meeting concluded the meeting.
