ROYAL PICTURES
The question handled in the picture, “Yes or No?” to he screened to-night, which presents Nonna Talmadge in a dramatic dual role, is of prime importance to every girl who stands on the threshold of maturity. At some time in her life
every woman must answer “yes” or “no.” The picture is adapted from Arthur Goodrich's play of the same name which raised a lot of comment when it appeared upon the stage. It is a splendid human story —one that offers the talented star with abundant chances to show her emotional skill. The star is forced to answer “yes” or “no.” The momentous question comes to her fraught with tragedy, fraught with happiness, too. And it is a big responsibility, this decision. Miss Talmadge handles both roles with rare skill and charm, with that sure touch and directness of method which has always characterised her interpretations on the screen. As an extra a further episode of “The Invisible Hand” will he shown.
“What’s Worth While” is one of Those dramatic offerings that Lois Weber has forcibly told. This Par-, amount picture will be seen at the Royal on Monday. It deals with what is worth while in life. Phoebe Morrison is one of the upper ten, yet she finds herself falling rapidly in ,'iove with one entirely not of her sphere. But Elton recognises the barriers of the difference in their stations, _and he decides to educate himself. "After their marriage she finds that educating and the veneer of society is' not everything, and again we are presented with the enigma, “What’s worth while?”
