TRAGEDY AT NUKUMARU

The Wanganui police received telephone advice yesterday morning sad tragedy at Nukumaru, Avhere a farmer named Luke McGorman murdered his Avife on Tuesday evening by cutting her'throat Avith a razor. He’then cut his oavu throat, and died yesterday morning.

Later advices report that both McGorman and his Avife left home to attend a school committee meeting, and it Avas not till the morning that their absence Avas noted by a farm hand, Avho lived in the house. He says that there Avas no indication of any trouble betAveen McGorman anil his Avife. There avus a family of four girls and tAvo boys. /The eldest girl is 18 years of ago, 7 and the youngest child 5 vears.
