At billiards, Inman (8,000) beat McConachy (7,301). The best breaks to-day by Inman were 164 and 159, while McConachy made 109. Inman, when interviewed, said: “McConachy reminds me of George Gray. He will be handicapped for some time in matches in England until he becomes accustomed to the many differences of ivory balls from composition balls. He will make good, and should become a formidable competitor by the time the championship begins.” McConachy is quite fascinated by what can and cannot be done with ivory balls. t
