RUNNING THE CUTTER.
A CARLOAD OF WHISKY,
Waihi, Sept. 30,
Charged with aiding and abetting the removal of a motor-car and the conversion y of it to his own use, Charles Dillimorc appeared in the Police Court this afternoon, and was remanded on bail for eight days. The case is the outcome of the mysterious arrival in Waihi (which is in the Ohinemuri nolicense district) last night of a car without lights, of the coming of which the police hud evidently received warning. The car contained sixty bdftles of whisky. The driver succeeded in eluding the police on a bicycle, while the accused, who was caught after pursuit, refused to give any information to elucidate the mystery. The police have since found that the car was taken from l lie premises of a Thames motor taxi proprietor last night without his knowledge.
