Wellington, Sept. 20

Lieutenant Briggs, an Australian airman, who gained distinction with l be Royal Air Force during the war, and who was prevented by the Australian civil aviation authorities from essaying a (light across tlm Tasman from Melbourne to Bluff, as his machine was not suitable, will during the next few months make [he attempt in a large Hying boat he is getting from England. Mr Horace Wilson, a young New Zealand journalist with dying- experience, who lirst cabled Lieutenant, Briggs for a passenger’s seat, has been advised by Lieutenant Briggs that he will be only too pleased to have Mr Wilson accompany him. Mr Wilson accompanied Captain Gray on the flight from Christchurch to Wellington. He resides at Addington, Christchurch, and is 24 years of age.
