BOWLING

A working bee was held at the local green yesterday, when considerable work was done in the preparation of the green for the coming season. The recent . rains have made the work of preparing the surface of the green much lighter, and after mowing the grass the surface was lightly scarified and a light dressing of soil put on. ' There is •very prospect of the green being 'n good order for the coining season. Weather permitting, another working bee will be held on M edneslay next.
