UNITED’ TO ASSIST.
CONCERT. TO-NIGHT
The concert in aid of the above worthy cause, to be held in the Town Hall to-night, promises to eclipse anything yet attempted in Foxton. A splendid programme lias been arranged by the Committee, consisting of members from the various churches. The Levin Male Choir and Concert Party arc giving a number of part songs and a quartette. This choir comes here with a great reputation. Songs and duets will be rendered by the following local talent: Mesdames Walter McDonald and Bullard, Miss Upton, Messrs Hornblow, Poole, Head and Capt. Tong; Rev. Mr Minilic will contribute a monologue, and Miss Follas a recitation. The programme will open with a pianoforte duet by Misses Ella Patterson and Maggie Hynes (pupils of the Convent). The Brass Quartette will contribute an item, and Miss E. Evans will be accompanist. All who attend the concert will have an enjoyable evening's entertainment, besides assisting a very worthy cause. A specially organised band will render a programme. from the Town Hall balcony at 7.30 p.m.
