COAL FOR THE RAILWAYS.
THROUGH TIIE LOCAL PORT.
We have received the following telegram from Mr Edward Newman, M.P., in connection with railway coal freight through the local port-: “1 am drawing the attention of the Hon. Minister of Railways to the article which appeared in your issue of 27tb inst., and tint urging that the Department should ship coal direct to Foxton, instead of railing it from Wellington, and will advise you u.s to the result.”
