FOOTBALL.
The Maori team to play the Springboks at Napier on Wednesday, 7th September, is as follows: —Full,back, Kurn (Hawke’s Bay); three-quarters, Phillips, Barclay (Hawke’s Bay), Borrcll (Bay of Plenty); five-eighths, Turein (Bay of Plenty), Peiua (Wairon); halfback, Mills (Poverty Bay); rover, Jacobs (Horowhenua); forwards, Kororiko (Bay of Plenty), .Carroll and Ormond (Wairoa), Oneone, Oarlick, and Tangitu (Bay of Plenty), and Grace (Taupo). The Northern and Southern Horowhen.ua junior reps.- tried conclusions at Otaki yesterday. The southerners won by 24 to nil. The whole of. the points were scored in the second spell. .The southerners were very much heavier than the northerners. The object of the match was to select a junior rep. team to play against Wairarapa. Hirini, fiveeighths, was (he only local player selected in the rep. team.
The following foam will represent the Foxton Fourth Grade to play High School, at Foxton on Saturday (final match): —Backs: W. Hynes, T. Procter, J. Huff, E. Robinson, W. Christie, G. Perrenu, W. Walls; forwards: 11. Fuller, 11. Burr, X. Ross, G. Parkin, E. Cunningham, L. Healey, D. Nelson, B. Stevenson. Emergencies: 11. Huff, N, Ball, D. Williams, W. Stubbings. The team is requested to meet at Mr F. Robinson's residence to-morrow evening, at 7 o’clock.
