A mysterious tragedy, the victim of which A Mile. Danyelle Royer, a fascinating girl of nineteen, the daughter of an authoress, has taken place at the home of Dr. Eooffe, in ltue’Saint Lazarre. Dr. Ecoft’e-had recently become engaged to Mile. Royer, and on a recent evening she dined with the doctor and his mother. After dinner the doctor went to the telephone in his office, when he heard a scream. He ran to the consulting room, and found his fiancee lying on llie floor stabbed through the lieujrt with a Japanese dagger, which had been taken from the wall.
