BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY.
A Committee meeting of the aImvc was held yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs Perreau (chairman). Jloriiblow, Adm ore, C. Symons, Christie, Mesdumes Moore (secretary). Procter, Pearson, McMuvray and Robinson. Apologies for absence were tendered on behalf of Messrs Moorliouse and Trueman (treasurer). Reports were received from the sub-committees responsible for work at Easton Park and the old cemetery, and Mr Black's schemes explained. It was resolved that a finance committee he set up, consisting of Messrs Moorliouse, Hornblow and Poole, with the President and Treasurer ex-officio, to carefully scrutinise all accounts and attend to matters of expenditure generally. Several matters of detail were deseussed, and the meeting rose.
