IMPORTS AND EXPORTS.

The Government Gazette contains a return of the value of imports at several ports of New Zealand during the quarter ending June 30th, 1921, as compared with the imports for the corresponding quarter of last year. The return shows that our imports from Ihc United Kingdom for the past quarter totalled £G,OI3,GIG, as compared with £6,995,259 for the June'quarter of 1920, while the grand total of our imports was £12,532,365 last quarter, as against £14,407,613 in the June quarter of 1920. On the other hand, the Dominion’s exports to the United Kingdom totalled £12,155,818, against £7,815,129 in the corresponding period last year, while the whole Dominiou exports for the quarter totalled £14,008,293 against £11,400,084 in the corresponding quarter of 1920. The total value of imports at the principal ports were os follows: —
