“A LM MRS TON NORTH'HIDE AND SKIN SALE.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: —At our sale held on the 21st inst. we offered a good catalogue to a fair attendance of buyers. Prices were somewhat lower, wool all classes Id to ltd, sheepskins Ad to ifd, whilst hides showed a decline of from 2d to 3d per lb. Calfskins sold well, and tallow advanced £2 per ton on last sale. We quote: —Wool; Crossbred medium, 3d to 3Ad: rough and inferior 2d to 3d; lambs’, 2Ad to 3jd. Sheepskins: crossbred, fine. 3d to 3.1 d; medium coarse, 2d to 3d: (l'oss-brcd, damaged, Id to ljd; lambs’, 2d to 3d; damp, salted, Is to 2s 9d each. Hides: ox, heavy, 8d to SJd; medium, 7:fd to Bif cl; light, Id to ltd; cow, heavy, Id to 4,}d; medium, 3d to Id; light, 3d to Id. Horse hides, 5s to 9s: cut, slippy and inferior, lAd to 5Ad. Calfskins, 12d to 12.1(1; stained, Id to 5Ad. Horse hair, 12d to 13d. Rabbit skins, (id to lid per II). Tallow, in tins, £l2 to £lB per ton.
