THE FLIGHT TO NEW ZEALAND,
LIEUT. BRIGGS' VENTURE.

The civil-aviation authorities have prohibited Lieut. Briggs' iliglit from Australia to New Zealand, on the ground that the petrol required would be 300 pounds in excess of the weight allowed for commercial purposes. Lieut. Briggs hopes to secure a machine to satisfy the regulations and realise his ambition of being the first to fly to New Zealandf.
