The Minister of Agriculture at the conference of the Council of Agriculture, drew attention to the steady decline in the number of sheep in the Dominion. The last published figures showed that the drop had been in the vicinity of 2,000,000, while again this year there would he, he was afraid, a drop of; between 000,000 and 700,000. He hoped that farmers would not <*onlinne the present policy of letting their sheep stocks decline.
