ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH
A very excellent concert was giver. on Tuesday evening by the All Saints' Choir, in the schoolroom, in aid of choir funds. It was a bitterly cold night, but those who ventured out were rewarded by a real musical treat. The choir members sang four glees very tastefully, showing the careful training given by Mr Betty. The brass quartette, consisting of Messrs Betty, J. Golder, B. Walls and Harold Osborne, contributed two quartettes very evenly. As a rule the tendency of brass instruments when played in a small building like the schoolroom, is decidedly brassy, but on this occasion no fault could be found with the excellent tone. Mr Betty a»d Mr Walls also played two duets, which were very much appreciated. Mr Moorman gave selections on the flute.' The following also rendered items: —Mesdames Freeman and Bullard, Misses King, Rotter, I. Robinson and Hawke, Messrs S. Head, Green (Marotiri), S. Poole and 11. Osborne. Mrs Freeman and Mr Thomber and Miss R. King played the accompaniments.
