POSITIONS OF TEAMS,
Last night Messrs V. Higgins, Li. W. Prfcey and AY. Thompson, of the Ilorowhonua Referees’ Association, and Mr J. AY. Procter, chairman of the Horowhenua Rugby Union, visited Foxton and addressed a meeting of footballers on the new rules, Mr F. D. Whible.y presided, and there was a fairly good attendance* Air Higgins, with the use of a blackboard, explained (lie new rules at. length, and also gave the correct interpretation of some of the old rules on which there is at times a difference of opinion. The address was listened to with much interest by (hose- present, and a number of questions were put and answered. At the conclusion of the address the visitors were accorded a very heartv vote of thanks.
The Management Committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union meet at Ohau to-morrow night.
The senior rep. team to plav Alanawatu on the 251 li instant will be selected on Saturday night. Arrangements have been made for the selectors to be present at the KttkttAYanderers match for the first half, and the Sluumon-Hui Mai game during the second spell on Saturday, and the, 'rep. team will be selected at the conclusion of this match. *
The following will represent Foxion Fourth Grade to play at Shannon mi Saturday: —Backs: T. Procter, Cunningham, W. Irving, W. Ilynes, \V. Christie, A. Fuller, W. Wails; forwards: Fuller (2), Parkin, Robinson, Stevenson, Williams, Burr, L. Healey. Etnerg.: Ball, J. 1 lealev.
