THE local Beautifying Society is lo be commended for deciding to engage an export lo prepare a plan for the carrying out of a beautifyino- scheme for Easton Park and the old cemetery. This method is preferable to spending' money haphazard in fits and starts here and there, The expert will provide not only a comprehensive lay-out, hut will recommend shrubs and (lowering plants suitable to the soil and climate, and their location. Tire expense thus incurred will result in a greater saving in the long run. Apart from this, the work will' he carried out in a systematic manner, and will he of a permanent character. It is hoped that the services of the expert, will he available at an early date, so that full advantage can he taken of the present planting season.
