MISSING HOSPITAL MATRON.

ANXIETY FELT REGARDING -HER SAFETY.

Carterton, Yesterday. | Matron Mary Lindsay, of South I AVairarapa Hospital, Greytown, disappeared last evening, and considerable anxiety is felt for her' safety. It is reported that she has been ailing for some time past. Towards nightfall she was missed, and immediate search was made. This continued all night unsuccessfully, and about six o’clock this morning the firebeil was rung to assemble people to form further parties. The missing Jady was dressed only in her night clothes, slippers, and a wrapper. The night was bitterly cold, there being a heavy frofet. The seftrch continues, but so far without success.
