Cecil Verne and Dorothy, and iLoir real live teddy bear, who arc appearing in conjunction with the Town Kail Pictures on Monday next, have the distinction of having appeared in more picture theatres in Australia and' New Zealand than any other vaudeville act. The turn ■hey present is brimful of good comedy, and anyone looking for a -olid half-hour’s laugh should make a special effort to be present on Monday. Song, patter, bell-ringing and straight comedy and magic are all introduced in this one great net. Mr Verne, who is known as the Australasian Clias. Chaplin, works ids "act as Charlie. “The Great Beer Trick," in which the performer guarantees to satisfy the thirst of anyone in the audience out of an» empty bottle, is always n big hit. The whole act is abundant with good clean comedy. At the finish a great living novelty is introduced to tlfe audience. This is nothing less than a “real live Teddy Bear” (the only one in New Zealand). This little fellow, who one cannot helf taking a liking to, does his few tricks and puts a great finish to this big attraction. Charlie Chaplin will appear in the street, and at the school on Monday afternoon. Look out for him. Prices 2s and Is, plus tax, children half-price.
