Universal Special Attraction: Sensational glimpses of San Francisco’s nocturnal activities, modern ranch life, and refreshing views of the open range, furnish a variety of backgrounds against* which tin* dramatic story of “Hearts Up” is to be enacted at the Town Hall on Friday. “Hearts Up” is a Universal production starring Hurry Carey, and affords the popular player opportunity to depict t| new kind of role. The story hinges on the most furious fight that can he waged ;a strong man’s fight with himself. Impersonating his dead pal, whose daughter is to arrive from the East, the hero of the story meets the girl and does not correct her when she calls him “Daddy.” He takes this course to save the girl disappointment and heartaches; but lie cannot forsee the tragic results. Starting out with a lie, and involving hir.iself in the strangest of complications with the girl who believes that she is his daughter, the star extricates himself only through the crashing punch of the dramatic climax. A fine comedy and magazine are in the supporting programme.

On Saturday, at 2.30, a selected matinee programme will be screened, including Episode 2 of “The Dragon’s Net.”
