RIFLE SHOOTING
The third shoot for the Borough Council trophies was held last Saturday, at 600 yards .range. There was very little wind, but the cloudy day produced a varying light, which caused many low scores. Klim. ajy» and A. Barnard and Head did wT^r-'
and the next shoot will he of much interest. The issue lies between Rilm. CL Barnard, Frankland and A. Barnard. In B Section, Rflm. 11. Hamer reached his 7 points and won the £2 trophy, and the 12s Gd trophy went to Rilm. C. 11. Symons, with 6 points. The scores were as follows: — (500 Pts, A Section. Yds. liep. The fourth shoot, next Saturday, will he 15 shots at 200 yards, for A Section only. Rilm. IT. Hamer will represent Foxton at the Patea Rille Association meeting on June 3rd.
