PIANO-PLAYING.
WORLD’S RECORD BROKEN.
STEELE PLAYS CONTINUOUSLY FOR. 113 HOURS 13 MINUTES.
Mr Steele succeeded in his attempt to break the previous world’s record for continuous piano playing, on Saturday night, by putting up a record of 113 hours 13 minutes. A local committee supervised the performance. A large number of people visited Mr Steele during the test. On Saturday night, after the picture performance, a concert was arranged as a finale. The following contributed items: Messrs J. Colder, Walls, Graham, L. Billman, H. Osborne, S. Head, P. Fountain, Ellis, Baker and Co. and Miss B. Ebbett. The accompaniments were played by Mr Steele. The concert was arranged by Mr Smith. At the conclusion of his task, Mr Steele received a great ovation, and appeared little the worse for the physical and mental -train undergone.
