MOKAU BAR CATASTROPHE

THE CAPTAIN MISSING. Waitara, April 29. The oil launch Turanga, with Captain Stearne and a crew of three, left Waitara last night at 11 o’clock with 23 tons of cargo, all stowed tor Mokau. This morning word was received that the vessel had capsized on the Mokau bar at 2 o’clock, and tho captain was missing. The vessel was then breaking up, and cargo was coming ashore.
