ROYAL PICTURES
It is not exaggeration to say that “Tiie Fighting Shepherdess,” to he -hewn to-night, is one of the most vital pictures of the year, Anita Stewart is chock full of personality, and makes the character of the heroine a memorable figure —the girl sheep-herder fighting against the remorseless hatred of the cattle men of the ranges, who resented the advent of sheep into what they considered their own domain. The picture is uncommonly''rich in exciting episodes, and the primitive action is in exact harmony with the locale of the story, adapted from the popular novel by Caroline Lockhart, one of the most attractive women's books in years. In addition to the foregoing, an added attraction is the commencement of the great new serial, “The Lost Princess,” which is especially remarkable for its vistas of animal life and jangle scenes. The charge for admission this evening will he Gd arid Is Id, as usual. On Monday a great double Fox programme' will lie screened. Tom Mix will lie seen in his latest feature, “The Daredevil,” with new thrills, deeds of daring that are different, stunts that are more hazardous than any yet screened, and will also make his debut as an author and director. A new Fox star, Miss Eileen Percy, will he seen in “Her Honour the Mayor.” As its title indicates, it is a story of a woman in politics—a screen version of Arline Van Ness-llines’ stage success. Much interest in this picture is being displayed in the motion picture world, because of the personality of Miss Percy.
