TENNIS.

The Longburn young ladies extend an invitation to members of the local tennis club to attend a dance to be held in the Longburn Hall on' Wednesday, May 4th. A taxi will be procured by the secretary of the local club if any members desire to travel by same. Bulls Club invites the Fox! on Club to enter a challenge for the Newman Cup. As Foxton was responsible for the cup being presented by Mr Newman, M.P., members of Bulls Club consider Foxton should at least .play them once in the season for this trophy. Members arc requested to obtain as much practice as possible, with a view to playing Bulls on Saturday, 21st May. ' ■„
