RIFLE SHOOTING
Yesterday afternoon a friendly match was tired with the Rangitikei Rifle Club, under tricky conditions of light and wind. There were ten men aside, 10 shots at 500 yards, and 7 shots at 600 yards. The result was a decided win for Fox ton, the scores being as follows: —
The first shoot for the Borough Council’s trophies, which was arranged for next Saturday, has been postponed one week. Instead* a friendly match will he fired with a team of ten from Hautere Rifle Club, over ranges of 200, 500 and 600 yards, 7 shots at each, shooting to commence at .10 o’clock.
