WEDDING.
EAST—CROWE,
A very pretty wedding was celebrated in All Saints’ Church, Foxton, on Tuesday last, by the Rev. W. Walton, vicar, when Thomas Charles, youngest son of the late M« ''jujijffl Mrs T. East, of Foxton, was uniteJrr to Vera Ellen Myrtle, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Crowe, of Foxton. The sendee was fully choral, the bride having been a member of the choir. Mr Thornber presided at the organ. The interior of the .Church was tastefully decorated, and a floral bell was suspended above the heads of the wedding group. The bride, who was given away by' her father, was attired in a dress of ivory erepe-de-chene, hand embroidered, satin and georgette, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and , carried an ivory prayer book with white streamers. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ivy Crowe, as bridesmaid, who was attired in a pink ercpe-de-chene hand-embroidered dress, pink and black georgette hat, and carried a bouquet of pink and white cosmos and asparagus fern.' Miss Jessie May Crowe, youngest; sister of the bride, officiated as flower girl, and wore a hand-embro-idered white erepe-de-ehene dress, blue and black georgette hat,' and carried a basket of white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. Mr Arthur East, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, which was witnessed by a large congregation, the guests partook of the wedding breakfast at Perreau’s. The toast of the bride and bridegroom was proposed in a happy speech by the Rev. Mr Walton. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a set of silver fox furs, and to the bridesmaid gold pendant and chain, and gold bangle to the flower girl. The .bride’s present to the bridegroom was a trnv- - ’ filling case. The presents to the happy couple were numerous and useful, and testified to the high esteem in which they are held. The bride’s going-away dress was a navy serge costume and saxc blue hat. Mr and Mrs East are spending their honeymoon in the South Island.
