The ladies of the Foxton Presbyterian Church will hold a social afternoon in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday next, 27th in.sl., at 2.30 o’clock. Afternoon tea provided free. Competitions, etc. Admission by silver coin collection.
It is notified by • advertisement that the Borough Council will, at a meeting to be held on May Dili, at 7.30 p.m., make and levy rates as set forth in such advertisement on the unimproved value of the borotigh, and a sanitation fee of 17V per pan, for the current venr.
Messrs Bradeoek and Co. notify by advertisement that they will hold a sale of meal, consisting of beef, mutton and sucking pigs, at their mart on Saturday next, at 11 a.m. Butcher in attendance. Customers are requested to bring wrapping paper.
Entries for the Foxton Auctioneering Company’s weekly sale to be held at the mart, Avenue Hoad, on Saturday, commencing at 2 p.m, sharp, arc advertised to-day. and include one heifer (clue September), one mare, several pigs, fowls, ducks, fruit, vegetables, range, separator, gramophone, onions, potatoes, ggf, posts, trap, saddle and bridle, lawn mowers, furniture. Further entries are solicited.
