SHOOTING SEASON.
OPENS ON MAY 2nd
The Palmerston N. branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society notify that the shooting season for imported and native game opens at 0 a.in. on May 2nd. Licenses jo kill imported game, viz., cock pheasants. Californian and Australian swamp quail, and hares, may he obtained from postmasters throughout the district. The killing of native game is restricted to 25 head in all on any one day. The Society’s officers have made arrangements throughout the district to guard against breaches of the Act, and sportsmen' are urged to assist the Society in this respect.
