HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

A Commiticc meeting of the above Society was held last night, Mr Renton (president) presiding over a good attendance. The Rev, Mr llalliday consented to act as secretary, provided a paid organiser was employed. When the minutes were read an objection was entered to the holding of the annual meeting last month, contrary to the rules. A motion was carried nullifying the proceedings at that meeting, and it was decided to hold the annual meeting next month, when the annual report and balance-sheet will be submitted and officers and committee elected.
