PRESENTATION.
A very pleasing ceremony took place at the monthly meeting of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Social Guild, at the residence of Mrs Claris yes- ■ terday afternoon, when Miss McMurray was made- the recipient of a handsome three-tier cake-stand on behalf of the congregation, in honour of her approaching wedding. The presentation was made by Mrs Ilalliday (president of the Guild), who referred to the valuable services rendered by Miss McMurray as a teacher in the Sabbath school and member of the choir. Oil behalf of the congregation the president wished the guest happiness and prosperity in the step she was taking. Miss McMurray,,in a neat speech, suitably acknowledged the gift, and kind wishes, and said whatever she had done for the church had been a labour of love. During afternoon tea Miss McMurray was the recipient of personal felicitations by those present.
