SHANNON METHODIST CHURCH
There was a packed attendance at the Shannon Methodist Church <>n Monday evening last, when a combined farewell social fo the Rev. A. and Mrs Harding and harvest thanksgiving was held. A programme of songs and instrumental items by Foxton and Levin friends was •submitted,'and much appreciated. Tlie chair was occupied by Mr Thus. Gib son, who spoke in complimentary terms of the faithful serr vices rendered to the charge by the departing minister, and on behalf of the congregation presented him with a set of military brushes. The Rev. Mr Harding suitably replied. The affair was most successful, , both from a social and financial point of view, netting £l7. \
