RIFLE SHOOTING
The return match with a Rangitikei Rifle Club team, that avrs to have been held on the local range last Saturday, did not eventuate, as the above Club could not get together a team to make the trip. However, it was decided by those present to shoot for club cash prizes, amounting to £1 at ranges of 500 and 600 yards, 7 shots at each. The weather was fine, but a typical Avesterly breeze, gusty and changeable, made shooting rather erratic. First prize of 10s went to C. Barnard. second prize ss, to W. Symons, and third and fourth prizes, 2s 6d each, to 11. Frankland and H. Graham respectively. Scores were as follows: —

Class firing will commence next Saturday, and all members are requested to attend if possible. Service conditions will prevail; v sight only.
