ROYAL PICTURES

The star attraction at the Royal to-night is a fine story with a military selling, “The Flag Lietuenant,” which is an all-British production; It presents a simple story containing elements that always make a strong appeal to the sympathetic public. A self-denying hero who is ready to forfeit everything he prizes most in order to repay a debt of gratitude to a friend —love scenes, comedy touches, and situations in which the emotion of the moment is always at a high temperature, embodies some excellent backgrounds and very effective photoplay. The star attraction for Friday evening is “Wild Primrose,” featuring charming Gladys Leslie. It is a matter for regret that more is not seen of this charming little girl who plays the title role. Her fresh young beauty, her undoubted talent, and her sunny disposition seem to brighten every’ scene in which she appears, and they are many. Miss Leslie is capably supported by Richard Bartlielmess in a charming story of n mountain girl who worms her way into the frigid hearts of her society family, who have not seen her since she was a baby.
