MOVING PICTURE INDUSTRY
COMPANY ..FORMED AT OTAKI
Considerable interest was displayed in a public meeting held at Otaki on Tuesday night to consider the erection of a moving picture studio here. Otaki is considered by experts to be. the Los Angeles of New Zealand, and admirably suited for the purpose. It was decided to float a limited liability company, with a nominal capital of £25,090 to establish a studio. Mr F. Moore was elected secretary, and Messrs Byron Brown, J. P. Brandon ancl W. H. Wills a board of directors. It was agreed to open share lists in Otaki and adjacent towns. Messrs Brown and Moore offered to take 2,000 shares each, while strong support was offered by others. Six thousand shares were taken, up in the room.
