OBITUARY

MRS. Wm. ROSS—AGED 77 YEARS. It is with sincere regret that we chronicle the passing of Mrs Jessie Ross, wife of Mr William Ross, which occurred at her residence, “Paretao,” Foxton, on Thursday night, after a lingering illness. For many years past the late Mrs Ross has been confined as an invalid to her home, and latterly bed-ridden. Those who had the privilege of meeting and conversing with her were impressed with her cheerful and uncomplaining resignation and Christian fortitude. To the bereaved husband and family we, in common witlUhe Foxton public, extend our deepest sympathy in the irreparable loss they have sustained. The interment, which was of a private nature, took place this morning, the service being conducted by the Rev. Thos. Halliday.
