MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
THE biennial election of Mayor and Councillors takes place next month. As far as we are able to gather. Mayor Chrvstall will he returned unopposed to the civic chair, although the Mayor lias not yet made a definite statement to the effect that he intends to continue in office. It is generally understood, however, Dial il would be in the best interests of ijje borough for the Mayor to continue in office until the water and drainage scheme is completed, seeing that he and his Council initiated llte proposal. We understand that several new aspirants intend to offer llteir services as councillors, which will necessitate an and arouse public interest in municipal administration. In the meantime it behoves ratepayers and residents to see that their names are on the roll.
