(To the Editor.) Sir. —In your issue of Saturday liisl I notice an invitation to discus,- gas works appointments. IV ell, l hero is “nothing doing,” Mr “Fair play.” I am at present more interested in working up my biz. Had j been an applicant I may have had something to say. but as 1 was hot 1 deem discretion the better part of valour, and instead of discussing cas works affairs 1 am busy taking orders.
